We have these bugs over here, though they're mostly green.

I love Shield Bugs though this one is just random colouring - they are mainly green or brown over here.
They are meant to be tasty to eat - eaten alive they squirt a hot tingling substance which is meant to be a bit like best chilli ever - have never tried that though....
